Are you exhausted from carrying everything… You’ve come to the right place.
You might be here because…
You feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally shut down.
You’re navigating a life transition and don’t feel like yourself.
You overthink everything and still don’t feel confident in your choices.
You feel disconnected from your needs, emotions, or sense of identity.
Your relationship is caught in the same arguments or quiet distance.
You’re not broken. You’re doing what you learned to do to survive.
When you’ve been the strong one for a long time—or life has demanded more than is sustainable—your nervous system adapts.
That can look like: anxiety, shutdown, irritability, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or emotional numbness.
Therapy here isn’t about forcing change. It’s about creating enough safety and clarity for change to feel possible—and sustainable.
If this is resonating, you’re in the right place.
Hi, I’m Maraya, and I can help.
A lot of the individuals and couples I work with aren’t new to self-awareness. You may already understand your patterns—and even know where they come from—but still feel stuck when it comes to changing them in real life. You’ve tried to “push through,” read the books, listened to the podcasts, had the conversations… and somehow you still end up in the same place.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
I’m a grounded, warm therapist who’s willing to go there—with care and honesty. We can talk about the uncomfortable stuff that shapes your day-to-day life: trauma, anxiety, identity shifts, boundaries, resentment, intimacy, communication, family dynamics, and the ways power and culture influence how safe it feels to have needs.
I also believe therapy should be more than talking in circles. Together, we’ll slow down enough to understand what’s happening underneath the surface—then we’ll build practical, repeatable shifts that actually stick. That might include body-based regulation tools, attachment-focused work, and approaches that help you create change without forcing it.
I work with individuals and couples who are ready for deeper work—people who want to feel calmer, more connected, and more aligned with who they are. You don’t have to have perfect words or a perfect plan. You just have to be willing to start.
I’ll show up as my real self in every session—steady, honest, and supportive. All I ask is that you bring yourself, too. From there, we’ll build trust, create safety, and take meaningful steps forward—one percent at a time.
What therapy looks like at One Percent Counseling
Warm, culturally responsive, and practical therapy. We slow things down, name what’s happening underneath the surface, and build skills you can actually use in real life.
In sessions, we focus on:
emotional regulation and nervous system support
identity shifts and life transitions
boundaries, needs, and self-trust
communication and relationship patterns
anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional disconnection
One percent progress.
You’ll leave sessions with one grounded next step—a small, repeatable shift that builds steadiness over time.

Online Therapy
Life is full—and your support should fit into it.
Online therapy is designed for individuals and couples who want real, consistent support without the stress of driving across town, rearranging their whole day, or putting care on the back burner.
You can meet with me from your home, a quiet office, your campus space, or any private location where you feel comfortable. Sessions are available to clients located anywhere in Nevada. As long as you have a reliable internet connection and you’re physically in Nevada at the time of your appointment, we can work together.
I take telehealth seriously. That means being intentional about privacy, using secure platforms, and helping you set up your space so sessions feel safe and focused. And because online therapy happens in the context of your real life, it can be surprisingly effective—often making it easier to practice new skills in the moment, in the same environment where stress, conflict, or overwhelm tends to show up.
Online therapy can be a great fit if you want:
flexibility without losing depth
consistent care without the commute
a calm, familiar setting for sessions
tools you can use immediately in real-time at home
